Photovoltaic and solar panels contribute to the energy needs of Casa Hema and Casa Mana, generating renewable energy and reducing reliance on traditional supply systems.
Electric vehicle charging points are available at each Casa for guests who choose lower-impact mobility to reach Hemanaire and explore Cremolino and the surrounding area.
Woodland management is part of this balance. Wood recovered through clearing and maintenance is reused to fuel the boilers during the colder months, giving new purpose to a resource already available within the Valley.
The same attention extends to water. Hemanaire’s natural spring allows rainwater to be collected and used to irrigate the fields and vineyards, helping to minimise waste and manage water more responsibly.
Hemanaire’s vegetable garden produces strawberries, tomatoes, aromatic herbs and other seasonal produce, used in the kitchens of Casa Mana Restaurant and Casa Hema Gastronomia. Fresh, local ingredients bring the flavours of Alto Monferrato to the table, naturally following the seasons.
Finally, Hemanaire takes a considered approach to plastic use, particularly single-use items, favouring alternative materials and reusable solutions wherever possible.
